Biotia is a health-tech company located in New York, NY, that leverages sequencing-based technology and proprietary AI-powered software to rapidly and accurately identify microorganisms and antimicrobial resistance. Our mission is to fight infectious diseases by deploying the leading reference library of microbes worldwide.
As a spinout company of Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute at Cornell Tech, Biotia has a New York State CLIA lab for infectious disease diagnostics testing affiliated with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University.

As of 2020, Biotia was accredited as a fully operational CLEP and high complexity CLIA-certified laboratory by the NY State Department of Health. New York State has the most stringent regulatory compliance requirements of any state in the US for diagnostic laboratories. With strict adherence to these policies, patients and physicians can have total trust in Biotia’s quality standards and diagnostic reports. Additionally, due to our NYS CLIA accreditation, Biotia can receive and process clinical samples from most states in the US.
