BIOTIA-ID, The Next Generation of Joint Fluid Diagnostics
This Research Use Only (RUO) assay identifies key targets causing joint infections with high sensitivity and specificity using next-generation sequencing technology.
Joint infections are often caused by hard to detect microbes, polymicrobial infections, or atypical pathogens. BIOTIA-ID Joint Fluid NGS Assay was developed to detect a wide variety of disease causing pathogens including fastidious, anaerobic bacteria and fungi.
A single test for comprehensive pathogen diagnostics
Clinical use-cases include patients with symptoms of prosthetic joints infections, and patients with suspected prosthetic joint infections and negative culture results.
At a glance
More accurate and sensitive than culture
Highly sensitive pathogen detection for a wide array of joint infection causing agents.
Comprehensive
Polymicrobial pathogen detection, anaerobe detection, and atypical pathogen detection.
Antimicrobial resistance markers
Allows for an detection of key AMR markers.
